The Stockroom at 230 and The Glass Box (Stewart-Palmer Wedding)
Michael Palmer and Emily Stewart tied the knot Saturday, at The Stockroom at 230 and The Glass Box, in Downtown Raleigh.
Working from a theme of simple elegance, the bride dressed the wedding party in blue and gray, with decor featuring white on white, accented with splashes of green in the bouquets and various floral arrangements.
Michael and Emily hosted a wonderful celebration. The guests were treated to a short ceremony, a spectacular dinner of flank steak, parmesan crusted chicken, mashed potatoes, and pimento macaroni and cheese. To top it off, dessert was a mouth watering assortment of individual “Nothing Bundt Cakes”.
The couple managed to sneak off for a few portraits together, at various times, throughout the day.
After dinner, everyone made it to the dance floor, to party the night away with the newly-minted, Mr. and Mrs. Palmer.
To end the night, guests made their way downstairs to send Michael and Emily off in sparkling style.
Sunday night at the Lincoln Theatre in Raleigh, eight artists came together for the North Carolina Songwriters in the Round, hosted by Jason Adamo. If you’ve never been to a songwriter’s round (it was our first), the format was pretty cool. Divided into two sets, with four artists in each one, the performers took turns playing their own music, beginning each song with a story that connected the audience with the inspiration and meaning.
